Amy has always had a love for baking. She would make cookies for her husband when they were dating. She discovered her love for cake decorating when she decided to make a cake for her husband Charles.

After the birth of her first daughter, Amy took more interest in cake decorating. After making her daughter’s first birthday cake, a pink and yellow teddy bear, she became addicted. Amy would branch out with every birthday cake she made for each of her five daughters.

Amy took cake decorating classes at the Sugar Shell, located in Idaho Falls, ID. After finishing the classes Amy made her first wedding cake. This cake was nine tiers and took two days to decorate. Amy hasn’t stopped pushing herself since. She wanted to share her love of cake decorating with others.

Amy began teaching classes at the Sugar Shell after she became the owner in 2005. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the enjoyment each student receives from learning about cakes.

Amy has been a part of ICES since 1992. In 2014 Amy became the representative for Idaho. She absolutely loves going to convention with her husband every year. Also in 2014 Amy received her Certified Sugar Artist. Her family was so proud of her.

In 2018 at convention in Cincinnati, Amy finally reached her goal of achieving Certified Master Sugar Artist.

In January of 2019, Amy received her ICJ.

In 2020, Amy became an ICES Approved Teacher.

When Amy isn’t busy doing cakes, she likes to spend time with her family. She has been married to Charles Marsh for almost thirty-six years. Chuck is the love of her life. Together they have five beautiful daughters (and three awesome son in laws) that make every day an adventure. In January of 2018, Amy became a Nana, to her sweet new granddaughter, Elayne.  Her first grandson arrived in August of 2019.

Charles P. Marsh has been an ICES member since 2014.

He is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) since 1988 to present and has been involved in the public accounting profession for 36 years.

He is married to Amy Lynn Marsh, Idaho representative, since October 27, 1984 and has five daughters, three sons (in law), a granddaughter and a grandson, and a dog.

He has taken many classes from Amy and other sugar artists and enjoys learning and sharing the sugar arts with Amy and our extended sugar arts family.

Gum paste flowers have become his passion in sugar art, and  he looks forward to convention every year.
